A Regenerative Diet -eat your way to a longer healthspan

I was orginally worried about the consequences of showing people how to live longer and at the same time have more energy (physically and mentally) -so potentially burning more carbon with fun leisure activities!

I reasoned however that because this better diet includes greater environmental salience and makes us kinder people (studies have shown this,) then the people who attend the course will do more healing of the world and less harming.

Why you crave the wrong things

Processed food disrupts your natural system where your body tells you what is good for you to eat.
It does this in a number of ways-we talk about this on the course.
Also, our microbes are out of balance in our gut (and other parts of digestive tract) and our microbes are integral in telling us what we should eat.
You can change all of this.

Diet and Nutrition course

This is a 4 week online course that looks at not just what to eat but how to afford a diet that consists of healing food.
AND how to make it doable with a busy life.

It is £150 per person with a reduced price for 4 threads club members of £100
The course consists of four online workshops and a separate one-to-one where we can discuss your journey.

"My conclusion, following reading thousands of papers from many 'ologys,' is that your food is either healing or harming you ...supermarket food is nearly all harming."
Kate Roberts

True flavours, deep enjoyment of food, intense environmental salience and the feeling of energy flowing through your body ...is waiting for you

What others have said following our help

"It is freaky how I am eating more but losing weight and also have more energy"

"I felt different mentally within a week, I couldn't believe it."

"I feel 10 years younger than I did 10 years ago."

The 6 Ps of Eating

All of the information we share is collated from the work and research of many incredible scientists and practitioners. Our gratitude to them is immense.

The complexity of how microbes run our health need not be scary. This is because they have been doing it for all living organisms for billions of years, the interactions evolved as we evolved and are an integral part of how we function. So the web of interactions knows what it is doing. We just need to trust the web and restore the microbial part of the web.

We use the following 6 principles or 6 ‘P’s’ to help guide you in your regenerative journey of ‘reduce and increase.’ Many of the scientists/practitioners suggest a cold turkey approach -although this enables you to see what affects you as you take on a new food, it is not easy. We do not think this is necessarily the best way to go because what your gut will accept is dependent on the community in it -so as you build the community, it will enable you to also eat other foods. However, if you suffer from a lot of pain or bloating in your gut then the cold turkey -one new food at a time,  may be the approach for you. Otherwise, a reduce and increase approach is less overwhelming and allows you to rebuild your gut microbiome. It is a complex system and can't be restored with just supplements.

The 6 Principles of eating are as follows:

  1. Protection

  2. Probiotics and Prebiotics

  3. Personalisation

  4. Premium Protein and Fat

  5. Placement and Proportion (note: Proportion between types of food not Portion size as that is unlimited)

  6. Postbiotics

Reduce and Increase (first steps)

Reduce chemically produced food

Increase regenerative and organic food

Increase vegetable proportion of diet

Reduce processed oils

Reduce meat and replace that smaller amount with regenerative

Increase phytochemicals through regen food/ herbs and spices/ diversity

Increase microbe intake the same way

Reduce, reduce, reduce wheat!

Buy as a community from local market gardeners to save travel

Increase real food

Decrease processed foods

Increase healthy versions (its not the what its the how it was grown) Decrease unhealthy

Decrease packaged food

Increase local food -especially organic/regenerative

Increase use of traditional recipes

Increase fermented food.

Increase food you grow -even if it just herbs on the windowsill or micro greens on the sideboard

Reduce chlorine in your water by allowing it to stand in glass bottles for 24 hrs. Putting water in the sun changes it to structured water which is beneficial to us.

Increase number of meals eaten with other people

Increase the amount of time spent chewing

Increase knowledge about the order and combinations that are beneficial to our guts

Increase knowledge of your body -female and male bodies have different needs at different times in life. This may be true of different genders also -the science is not yet there for that.
