Soil, Brain, World. Hope and Motivation

This film really has just one subject: connections. Research into these connections has taken us through clouds, soil, oceans, guts and brains. It has left us jaw dropped, incredibly excited and invigorated with hope.

The film is split into sections that take the audience through a series of these exciting connections to span all parts of the world we live in, and our personal journey through it. By opening up details of our world, which most of us haven’t seen before, the film gives a new way of looking at the bigger picture of our lives. It shows a way ahead for the regeneration of our biosphere, and our health, through the connections of these smaller details.

The content of the film is based on the work of hundreds of scientists and many practitioners, please see our references page for details of this. We appreciate and thank these people who have often been real pioneers; working towards a better understanding of the small details and invisible processes that are so impactful on the functioning of all that we hold dear.

Many hands -all voluntary- have made this film possible and How the Earth Thinks would like to thank everyone who has helped; from the magnificent narrators to the brave people who let us interview them, from those giving technical advice and to the students and graduates who spent 3 weeks with us creating content.

Through this journey we have all made many connections -not just to facts that have changed our life, but to people who have put heart and energy into making the world a better place. It is an honour to have met you all. Thank you.
